Home for Christmas

We celebrate Christmas with my family on Christmas Eve, and with Dan's parents away, we didn't have any more parties to get to. It was a different feeling this year, instead of the normal rushed fast pace of everyday, we enjoyed a relaxing time with family, and had the chance to catch up with friends at the always good Butler(so good to see you again Emily, Ben and Debra!)

The boys loved all the snow, got to ride in the sled, and helped Grandpa "push the snow" on his John Deer.
Christmas Eve day, sledding in the woods with cousins

the kids table(minus Seth and Lee at highchairs)

This year was so much fun, Dan and I were able to enjoy, and even sit to watch everyone open presents. For the last 3 years we have had a baby to hold, or feed, or rock, or change. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the baby years, but as my boys get older, I LOVE the little boy years. I know with each passing year I will say the same thing. I have a hard time thinking of the past and knowing we are through the baby years, but as I look to the days to come my heart jumps in excitement. I saw it in my nieces and nephews this year too. Each and everyone of them growing up so fast. It was wonderful to see the handmade presents for Grandpa and Grandma, the thought, and preparing for each gift, and the love that was shown when they gave it. What fun. That's why I love Christmas so much.
Christmas day, we went to Becky and Kevin's house to hang out(we missed seeing everyone on Christmas!) We enjoyed watching our kids play, especially my boys walking around in Ashlyn's high heels...all night. We even took turns sitting in their hot tub, thanks again you guys!

Lee trying so hard to get up...I of course get the camera before actually helping him up:o)!

Enjoying a sled ride

We can't be outside at my parents with out a stop in the barn to see all the tractors.

After trying to get Jason on a snowmobile with out succeeding, opt for a movie on the couch.
