What you need - a paper plate, anything green to color with, yellow paper, and a paper to glue the tree on(red looks the best, but I didn't have any) also glue, and glitter or I used glitter glue.
First color the paper plate green any way you want(Jason got tired after awhile, but try to color the whole plate) then cut the plate like a pizza making each piece a little bigger than the first ending up with 4 pieces. Glue the pieces in order starting with the largest piece making a tree. Cut a star out of the yellow paper and glue on top. Then decorate the tree, use glue to make dots and sprinkle with glitter, or use glitter glue to add 'ornaments'.
Christmas stained glass and RudolfChristmas stained glass - a piece of tin foil, paper of any color, and permanent markers of all colors(ask your mom first! normal markers rub off)
Cut out Christmas shapes from the paper(use cookie cutters for stencils and poke the scissors in the middle of the shape to cut) I also let Ryan and Jason use a hole punch to make holes all over. Then color your tin foil how ever you want, and tape it behind the paper to cover all the holes.
Rudolf - trace your hands and one foot on brown/tan paper (or you can use paint to make a foot print and hand prints on a piece of paper) glue pieces down to make a Rudolf head, then use a red circle or pom-pom for the nose and add eyes.
The other easy but fun one I did with Ryan is Rudolf shinning his way through a blizzard of snow. You can use your finger in white paint to make a blizzard on a black or dark blue paper, then add a red nose to have Rudolf shinning his way.(I used a red pom-pom) So cute!Have fun you guys, and be sure to check the blog again for more ideas, and remember there is no wrong way to do art, you make it your own! Love ya!
