Just a couple months behind....

At the end of October, I had the privileged of standing up in the wedding of my dearest friend, Emily.  Emily and I grew up together, our parents still being neighbors we get to see each other when ever our paths cross "back home".  Emily and I were inseparable growing up, having the time of our lives exploring, pretending, putting on shows, anything 2 "country" girls could come up with, and I feel so blessed to have shared my childhood with her.

In November, we got an amazing invitation to go to Hot Springs Virginia with the Bain(golf pro of the Club)family, and the Bergman(friends from our church) family.  We stayed in a time share home that one of the members from the Club graciously let us borrow.  It was more than beautiful. The home was situated in the hills, associated with the Homestead Resort.  What a historical amazing place. The guys played golf(surprise, surprise) and us women and kids explored the grounds. There was a fishing hole that the kids loved, hiking trails, horse stables, we actually went swimming outside, also inside(where we think the water might have actually been hot springs water) It was a wonderful weekend with wonderful new friends!

Ryan trying his luck at fishing...I think all of the kids got a fish!

Dan had to take a road(more like a path) up as high as he could on one of the hills, and I have to say it took my breath away to see the valley, and the golf course so far below.

All the kiddos on our morning walk(my 3, Lawson and Palmer, and McKenna-poor little thing being the only girl, but I think she loved it!)
