little pools of water and falls were everywhere
the boys were so excited to explore every little(sometimes huge) cave they found. There were a few times I had to close my eyes and pray they got down safe, their daddy was a little more lenient when it came to some explorations.
the trail lead us through some tight places at times...
and to places that just blew my mind.
the boys going off track again to check out a cave.
it was amazing to see all the trees growing out of the rock walls
Jason balancing on a fallen tree
a tight and dark tunnel under a rock hill, boys loved it in there!
hard to see(still kicking myself that I forgot my good camera) but this was one of the many rock bridges we crossed, they made it feel as though you were walking in another time, just beautiful.
from inside a cave, Dan showing the boys the path we had just taken
letting the boys have some play time on the rocks inside Old Man's Cave
more falls
the boys loved climbing on these rocks and tree roots
following the trail
the hot tub was perfect after our long days of hiking!
eating supper, waiting for those s'mores!
Daddy showing the older ones into a small cave
I even lead the way into some caves, but only as far as I could see, then I got out of there;)again, I felt like was going to have a heart attack watching this, but Dan let Ryan see down into Ash Cave, this picture does nothing for the height factor, it was massive.
Inside Ash cave
The boys and daddy went rock climbing...
Hiking up the trail to Rock House. It was a "house" naturally carved out on the side of a wall, where they say robbers hid their loot.
It was a great trip. I love being able to show the boys new things, especially parts of our world only God can create. There is so much beauty to see, I hope we can experience many more places like this as a family!
