Since the boys had off of school, we met my parents at the Air Zoo in Kalamazoo before heading to their house for Thanksgiving. If you have never been there, let me tell you it is worth it! Not only do they have hundreds of airplanes, it's educational and fun! Dan, being the man he is, had to have a guided tour, so he and my dad walked around for an hour listening to the stories and learning about the planes(Dan could have spent another 3 hours reading every little thing about the history of planes and space exploration-but I had to hurry him on) the boys favorite are the rides(and seeing we were pretty much the only ones there) they rode them over and over and over!
the "fast" ride
Ryan controlling his own plane
waiting for the 3d movie
Getting ready for the hopper, what fun!
Thanksgiving....I felt overwhelmed with Thanks this year, so much of my life has changed and I have felt God's Hand in it all. NEVER in my wildest dreams could I have imagined my life in Findlay Ohio. But here we are, it's all part of God's plan, and that is an incredible feeling!
Enjoying the sun after a yummy Thanksgiving meal(how many grand-kids can fit on the Gator??)
Family game of kickball
And finishing out the day with a walk to the beach. It was a perfect day...My heart overflows with love and thanks for my family...it brings tears to my eyes to write this, I miss them like CRAZY, living away from family is hard, but it's something that I have learned to accept, with God's help!(it only took me 7 moves :)
The Becksvoort 5(a little windy on top of the sand dunes:)
running down=the best part!
we have some pro dune climbers in the family :)
oh how I miss my place of solitude, there is nothing like Lake Michigan!
My parents...I owe more thanks to them than time can give!
And to the love of my life...thank you for this journey. I have learned more about myself because of you, you inspire me to be the best I can be. You are an incredible man, I am thankful to God for giving us these incredible chapters of life together, I love you!
