A couple Saturday's ago, Dan and I took the boys hiking in a woods. It has to be on our top 10 list of favorite things to do as a family. We have so much fun seeing new things in nature. Dan has hopes of taking the boys backpacking in the U.P. when they are older, and I am pretty sure it will happen, they love it!

If you know me you know that I LOVE lakes. I will say it again, growing up in Michigan where there is a lake around every corner, was truly a blessing. With that said, did you know there are NO lakes in Ohio??? Ok, so you see one in the picture, but it's actually an old quarry. The only lakes(ponds) in Ohio are old rock quarries, man made holes that fill up with water over time(water you would never swim in). I kind of have to laugh at the whole situation, how I have moved to a state with no lakes...God loves a good laugh!! Maybe he wants me to see the beauty in rivers, but I don't think I will see the Blanchard as a blessing with it being a thorn in my husbands side(it floods the course yearly)

The boys got busy one afternoon and started building a tower with their Trio blocks, when daddy got home he helped them finish, using every block we have, they got it up to around 10 feet!

Jason rode on two wheels for the first time this past weekend! He is one happy boy. We have been working on it, but living at the old house didn't give us enough room for him to learn. But things all seem to be working out for the better here! So proud of you Jason, yeah!
