Birthdays!

A couple weekends ago the boys and I made a quick trip to my parents to celebrate birthdays and get in some last minute summer fun. My mom and I took the boys to the Hudsonville Fair Thursday night, they had a blast. My nephew Trevor is in 4H, and it was auction night, so we went to see him and the giant 300 lbs. pigs he had. So it was even more fun for my boys to see their cousins and go to the tractor pull with them. I always enjoy seeing tractor pulls, I think they are fun, but my boys....wow, talk about excited! This was their first time seeing them, and I can guarantee it wont be their last, to say they had fun is an understatement, they were laughing and screaming, "go, go, go, go.......yeahhhh!" the whole time. It was more fun for me to watch them then the tractors! On their first roller-coaster, can't tell if they liked it or not...

At the pulls...the loud noise only makes it more fun!

Had to capture Lee's first time seeing the tractor go...pure awe

Jason and Nicole, best buds.
I have to tell a little story about Jason. While we were sitting in the stands waiting for it to start, the announcer came over the speakers and started talking, telling us the order and other information, and then ended with a, "now were gonna get the show underway!" Jason as serious as can be turned to Nicole and said(very loudly I might add), "now were going to share underwear?!" I laughed so hard I started crying, it was the funniest thing ever, needless to say, everyone around us was laughing too!

Birthdays at my mom's, Lee turned 3 on September 2!

Ryan will be 4 on September 13!

My nephew Nate also has a September birthday, he will be 9 on the 9th!

I wish this picture came with sound, the squeals of excitement over his monster truck were to cute.

And Ryan, all smiles with his tiger

Cousin Shawn helping Ryan put his new lego set together

Lee, all partied out.

This past weekend, Dan's parents came over for a visit so we had more birthday fun! We took the boys to Chuck E. Cheese's. We had a great night together.
Jason and his 3 year old brothers....wow

Lee's favorite, driving the monster truck, he couldn't stop saying, "look mommy, I'm driving!"

Back home and time for cake and presents. This was my first attempt at making a fondant cake. I think I did pretty good considering I taught myself and made my own fondant.

I kept the design pretty easy, Ryan wanted a green cake and Lee wanted a blue one, so we had a blue and green theme going on. Maybe next time I will attempt a bigger cake, we'll see.

"Happy Birthday to YOU!"

Happy birthday to my little boys!
Love you so much, may God bless you with another year of health and happiness!
God is GOOD=)!
