Dan is still busy as ever, yearning for when he can get back to hunting at this time of year. Even with the construction still going on, fall brings on a whole new list of things that need to get done at the course. And as they get ready for fall, the list of equipment they need to replace grows, it's a daily reminder of how much was lost in the fire. Speaking of the fire, the investigators have finally ruled it as undetermined.(may have something to do with a battery from a tractor, spontaneously combusting ???) Who knows, it's just good that the insurance can start, and the bulldozing can begin soon(hopefully).

The temporary office, nice and cozy.

The carts all lined up, ready to be chained together and locked up for the night. Still don't know what to do come winter...

Back to the construction, things are looking green again!! It is such a great sight to see. The greens all came in perfectly=). The approaches look great, and the fairways are coming in as expected with a few thin spots that need another round.

The tees are all constructed, which were the last to be seeded, but already have a green tint to them.

The last phase, bunkers. They all have to get cleaned out of the old sand, and staples that held the old liner in. After drain tile is laid and the grade is checked by the architect, the bunker is ready for
klingstone.
Klingstone is a sticky black glue that is sprayed over the entire bunker, then a 1/2 inch of sand is laid on top. After it dries, you have a bunker with a "sand liner", making it look great along the edges. Then the bunker can be filled and ready to go!

Last night at the course, the fairways are already needing to be mowed, it's looking great!

The hawk family that lives in the tallest pine tree on the course was very active. Saw him actually catch a squirrel, and struggle to keep it away from another hawk. It was like watching the nature channel!
