Here is a Mother's Day craft for you...
Take an old flower pot, anything you have, this would work on the bottom of a clear plate, or candy dish too. You will also need Mod Podge - found at any craft store in the glue section. And extra fabric, 2 or 3 different prints, what ever you want. I found fabric quarters at JoAnns for $2 a piece, with so many different colors and prints to choose from. What you do is take the fabric and cut it up into small squares(this does not have to be perfect) Then "paint" on the mod podge in little sections at a time, and cover with the fabric pieces, over lapping, or how ever you want. Once you have the whole pot covered with fabric, (or after a section is done) "paint" another layer of mod podge over the whole thing, make sure it is all covered, then let dry. You can put another layer of mod podge on if you want to make it a little smoother, but I like to spray it with acrylic sealer when it's done to seal it tight.
I did this with Jason and Ryan, they had so much fun. They used a little more mod podge than needed:o), but it still turned out cute.
