This morning at church we had a service that brought me to tears. We are in a series of 5 Narrative stories, members of the church were selected to get up and tell their life story. This morning a women got up in front of everyone and shared her story. No one should have to go through everything she did, and yet she stood up there with such peace, it was amazing. When the pastor got up to speak he reminded us that we, as humans put walls up, not only to keep things out, but to keep things in. And these walls can only be broken down by our Savior, who formed us, walks with us, and loves us unconditionally. It is up to us to jump over them, and let God take complete control. The service ended with a video of a skit performed by high-schoolers, to the song 'Everything' by Lighthouse. It begins with God creating us and showing us the beauty of this world. Then sin takes hold and we put walls between us and the one who created us. But God is right there the whole time, waiting for us to jump the walls back into his arms. What an amazing God we serve...
