Ryan had a hard time at his first soccer practice, not wanting to go out on the field alone, but with Jason's help, he went out and started to have fun. Then he came back after holding Jason's hand the whole time and said to me, "mommy I can't kick the ball",
"well", I said,"because you are holding Jason's hand, you have to let go buddy and do it yourself, show everyone how fast you can run and how hard you can kick". And that did it, he was off and running along with the team, smiling and waving at me the whole time. I was so proud of him! Now at every game he keeps track of how many goals he makes(they don't have a goalie for the 3 and 4 year olds=), getting more and more out of his shell with every one! He is asking me if he can play basketball next, or maybe football, he can't decide, it just warms my heart to see him grow and learn.
We had rain 20 out of 28 days in September, but that didn't stop Jason from trying his best! He tries his hardest at everything, showing a quality passed down from his father, nothing slows him down!
He is even getting the hang of being goalie, the best part for him is throwing the ball back in(he throws it over everyone's head almost making it to the other goal!)
Ryan's age group does drills for the first half hour, then 3 on 3 games. The favorite drill of the kids, coach tells them to dribble then calls out a body part to stop the ball with, this one showing, "EAR!" They all giggle, it's to cute.
And what about Lee? Well, he has made a friend Jenna. I think it's a match made in heaven, jumping in puddles, playing in mud, finding worms, rolling in the grass, finding sticks to throw, they definitely have fun!Video of Jason, number 8. Tried so hard to get this one!
Ryan, number 5, quick little runner, made it!
Lee and Jenna getting full of mud from head to toe during one of Jason's games, Ryan had to join in too.
