The project is coming along. Everyday there seems to be some "surprise" change that has to be made, but they are handling it. Dan is learning more than he imagined, working so close with the architect and project manager, and keeping the short course going, he is one busy man.
Visiting Daddy Monday night, running on the dead fairways isn't the same, but they still love it.
Trees are still coming down, I thought this tree was so pretty. I guess my Dad's eye for dead trees rubbed off on me.All the greens have the sand mix in and most have been graded and checked. Now they are putting sod around the greens. (the only thing that is getting sod) Next week will hopefully be the start of seeding.
My handsome husband checking to make sure the sod is not covering an irrigation head on a finished green.
It's hard to remember the course the way it used to be, and even harder to in vision the finished project. The above picture is one of the greens before construction, and below is what it was like Monday night. Notice all the big pines are down behind the green, you couldn't even see the pretty tree behind them! Now just picture it with white sand in the bunkers, and the green, green, grass....
