Well Checks and Dan's Birthday

Last Monday was the yearly busy doctor appointment for the boys (me). Jason had his 4 year check, Ryan had his 30 month check, and Lee his 18 month check. I usually try to get all the kids in at the same time so I'm not taking 3 different trips. I had a difficult time last year, so this year I got back up from Dan, yeah Daddy!! Ryan, who has decided he doesn't want to "get bigger", did not want to step on the scale, or sit on the table to get weighed. Jason having no problems at all, loved being able to sport his camo underwear, and Lee just went with the flow...until it was his turn. Eventually we did get Ryan weighed, and after a hour with the doctor, everyone was doing great. Jason, still growing like a weed, is over 95% for height and 90% for weight. Ryan and Lee are both in the 90-95% for height and weight too. Ryan shocked the doctor with his growth of 3 inches in 6 months. I kid Dan and say that his boys will outgrow his 6'3" height by high school, but he always reminds me that he was, at one time, the shortest in his class. I still think I'm right, we'll have to make a bet some day.watching a movie in their 'fort'

Wednesday was Dan's birthday. The boys and I got up early and brought doughnuts to Dan and his co-workers. Jason sang Happy Birthday to Dan as soon as he walked in the door it was too cute. They all made him a card that they were very proud of. Dan was surprised. (I of course brought my camera to take pictures, but forgot) We celebrated his birthday the rest of the week too because his present didn't come until Thursday, and we went out to eat Friday night 'for his birthday'.
