My week of rest and relaxation

Last week, I was able to go to San Diego with Dan, to his annual GCSAA (Golf Course Superintendent Association of America) Education Convention. While Dan was busy with classes and the Trade Show, I was able to do what I wanted, whenever I wanted to. I have never been away from my kids for a week, I have to say it was very tough for me, but I know I needed it. It was a wonderful week of sight seeing, a ton of walking, being able to enjoy my food (not scarf it down), and meeting many new people from around the world in the golf turf industry. I especially enjoyed meeting other wives of Golf Course Superintendents, being able to talk about the same thing and our bitter sweet feelings about the summer months, made me feel I was not alone. Here are some sights of sunny CA!This one is for my mom, the 'Janice' boat.

I loved this statue, how can you not?

Tour of the Midway

I found myself sitting here a lot, so peaceful.

Whale watching on the ocean, so amazing.

So many boats

The cliffs

Sea lions and more sea lions - so cute!

Watching the surfers and sunset

Thanks to my parents, I was able to enjoy myself more knowing that my boys were in good hands. Every time I called, all I ever heard was laughter. The boys had so much fun with you Mom and Dad, thank you doesn't seem to say enough. Superbowl party
