What a Week

Dan had a big tournament at his Course this past week(lots of work) so I decided to take off with the boys and spend a much needed week with family in Holland. It was great to see family and friends again. The week went fast, we did so much, and yet there was so much more we could have done.

We went to the Children's Museum in Fenville with Grandma Koops, cousin Ashlyn, and cousin Aiden. It wasn't that big, but the boys sure had fun. It was good for Jason to spend time with his cousin Aiden, (since he lives in London right now) and see him again.

We also went to Saugatuck a couple times to get ice cream, watch boats, and play. I love it there, it is so peaceful and beautiful, I always try to get there when we visit.

My nieces and nephew, Trevor, Ashley, and Nicole spent the night at Grandpa and Grandma Becksvoort's house with us Wednesday night. What a busy house, but we had so much fun. Jason and Nicole are only 3 months apart, and they are inseparable. Only when it's quiet do you know you should check on them, they seem to get quiet when they know they shouldn't be into something. It was so nice for me to be able to send the boys outside to play and know they were well watched by their cousins.

My parents also had a garage sale and a block picnic going on. So I got to get rid of some things, and saw neighbors I grew up with again. It was great.

I have to say it is good to be home with Dan, the boys and I missed him so much. But seeing how happy Jason and Ryan are when they see family and friends makes me miss them all the more. Family has always come first with Dan and I, and we want to raise our children knowing that. I guess that's why we try to make it back to Holland once a month, I know we all need it.
