We have a 5 year old!!

Jason had his 5th birthday last week, wow, we have a 5 year old. I know I say it a lot, but I can't believe how fast it goes. He's such a blessing, always willing to help, always willing to give hugs, always ready to learn. Jason loves to learn, asking questions and listening to the answers, it's as though you can hear the wheels turning in his head. He has an incredible memory, it just blows me away. He is a great big brother, the boys love each other, they are truly becoming best friends. I get full of emotion when I see the boys hugging and saying "I love you buddy"! God is good!

Jason picked Chucky Cheeses for his birthday dinner. The boys had a ton of fun.

Jason asked for a monster truck cake this year, this is what I came up with. He LOVED it, asking for it again next year.

Dan and I got him a castle with knights, horses and treasure. Great for the imagination!

We went to Holland to spend Jason's birthday weekend at Grandpa and Grandma Koops' house. He got a game for the wii from them, needless to say, I think he liked it.

Celebrating at Grandpa and Grandma Becksvoort's Saturday night. Jason's cousin Seth also has a March birthday, so we celebrated them both(along with Dan who is 30 this week!!!!)

My parents have a tradition that when a grandchild turns 5 they take them to Build a Bear and then out to eat. It is a great opportunity for them to spend some quality time with one child.(and spoil them) Jason loved his time alone, and has slept with "Blue Bear" every night since.
