While the boys enjoyed time with Grandpa and Grandma B....

Dan and I enjoyed time away in Florida. The annual
GCSAA Education Conference was held in Orlando this year, so I got to go down and spend 3 days with Dan after his classes were done.

We spent Friday on Anna Marie Island, on the west coast. Love it there, so pretty, and brings back tons of memories for me. The weather wasn't your typical "Florida" weather, but we still enjoyed every minute together.

Dan having a staring contest with a stork, never a dull moment with my husband..

Sunset over the Gulf...love it!

Saturday we went to the east coast,
Daytona Beach. It was so cold, one quick walk on the beach was enough, so we headed to our destination...the speedway. We had tickets to the Budweiser Shootout, along with a
FanZone pass. It was such a fun day!

We got to see some drivers up close, in their garages, with the crews working on the cars. Then we watched them practice for the
Daytona 500. Dan's driver, Jeff Gordon, sat in his car for a good 20 minutes in front of us waiting for his turn to practice on the track. Those cars are so amazing!!

Driver, Brian
Vickers, having a chat with Jeff before the practice.

With the
FanZone pass we were able to walk on the track before the race, it was unbelievable. Dan and I signed our names on the start/finish line.

It was hard to balance myself to sign, that track is steep!

On the track

Driver introductions. It is just amazing how fast they go, and how loud it is!!

On Sunday we headed back to the east coast, and spent the day with Dan's parents at Cocoa Beach. It was a very relaxing day, soaking up as much sun as possible.

It's wonderful to get away from it all every now and again, we missed the boys a ton, but knew they were having fun with Grandpa and Grandma, thanks again mom and dad...for everything.
