Yesterday was a great day, then again, every Easter is great. I love Easter, it's the foundation of being a Christian. I took the kids to Church by myself, seeing Dan had to work. It's always an interesting experience trying to get out the door with my boys, and having time to put makeup on. But I made it, carrying Lee and Ryan, crying, into the doors of church. After I dropped them all off in their separate rooms, I sat in the sanctuary. Maybe it was the morning, but the feeling I had of being alone to worship, the quiet, the peace, the awe of it all, was so real. It doesn't happen all that much, and don't get me wrong, I love to worship with Dan at my side, but, there's just something about sitting there alone. Being of the dutch, I of course was on time, not early, but on time(and have come to the conclusion that it's only the Dutch who arrive early). As the special music begins, every believer, of every race, every background possible, begins to fill the auditorium; singing as one, worshiping The One. And only in Detroit can you find a rapper being part of the worship, boy did he get everyone dancing, I right along with them. It was an experience like none other. I have never felt the power of praise like that before, it was (for lack of another word) awesome. Then, as always the Pastor had an amazing sermon. If you have 45 extra minutes some time(I know it's hard), here is a link to his Easter sermon "Thirst,"

Anyway, we had an Easter egg hunt for the boys when Dan got home and spent the rest of the day together as a family watching golf. Here are some pictures of our Easter egg hunt, and some pictures of Lee, he's pulling himself up on everything now, the newest for him, his bed.

Hope you all had a GREAT EASTER!!!
